Hey, We're Up and Running at Last
Hey, we're up and running at last!! It took me a while to get organized . . . you know how it is. Just in case you're wondering why we want to stay in this neck o' the woods well into the fall, feast your eyes on this:
It's not Montana--it's a shot from my late September hike last year--in Canada. But this year's hike promises to be just as beautiful. And, yes, I actually took this picture. I may not be good at photographing people, but I do okay with landscapes. Sometimes. Yesterday, I hiked with the Whitefish group--the GOFABS (Golden Oldie Fat-Ass Babes), but I didn't take my camera. It was not as spectacular a destination as the one pictured here, but it was a great day to be out. Orvis went to Doggie Day-Care, because Dad is in Texas this week, and I didn't want him to be here all day alone--he's not used to that. I think he must have had a good time, because this is how he looked when we got home--and has been the same all day today.

It must really suck to live near the mountains... Oh wait... I already know!
Those poor saps in Texas. They have no idea what they're missing.
Yay! Now I have another blog to check...I get a little obsessive sometimes looking for new posts, but that's okay,it's fun! Yes, I'm jealous of the scenery you have and the weather! It's good to see Orvis! Boone says hi!
Way to go, Mom! We're so happy to have you blogging and not just commenting on our oh-so-exiting lives!
And, yes, the "poor saps in Texas" are more than a bit envious of your proximity to such grandeur. Those of us in Houston at least have to get creative in how and where we see God's handiwork!
Ooops! That's "exciting" lives. See? There's a little DRAMA!
Steve! I like the photo--hadn't seen you on as "Iron Man" before. And Uncle Orvis says, "Woof, woof!" and "hello" to all the canine gang.
I'm printing this pic out and it is my new 'Happy Place' focal point.
Keep the pics coming!!
